The NMC Pharmacy provides pharmaceutical services to NMC patients, medical staff, and employees. We oversee the safe preparation and distribution of 220,000 medication doses per year, as well as providing drug information and education.
We are currently one of only 3 sites in the U.S. utilizing the Baxter Patient Care System, a complete pharmacy/nursing program which utilizes bar code scanning to verify the right dose of the right right drug by the right route at the right time to the right patient. Only 10% of the nation's hospitals have made the move to start utilizing bar code technology in the medication administration process.
