Audiograms
The goal of NOH’s audiometric testing program is to assist the employer with the prevention of hearing loss. Timely intervention, staff re-training, quality hearing testing, and the proper fit and type of hearing protection may help to decrease the risk of permanent hearing loss. NOH provides quality hearing surveillance under the medical direction of Verne Backus, MD.
 Our hearing booth is strategically located in a quiet location for accurate testing results.
- Our hearing booth and audiometer are calibrated yearly in order to provide the most accurate testing.
- Individual results are electronically stored for comparison from year to year to determine if a threshold shift has occurred.
- Dr. Backus reviews any hearing shifts suggested by the software program to determine whether to adjust the baseline. He can also assist companies with determining whether shifts are work related.
- Our full time registered nurse is a Certified Occupational Hearing Conservationist which provides client companies with the highest quality of care.
