Intensive Care Unit/Stepdown Unit
The ICU/SD provides a service area for patients who may require a higher level of observation, monitoring, and intervention in their illness process. The unit provides 24-hour critical care nursing, monitoring, and education in a collaborative practice of high ethical standards, trust, and compassion, with a dose of humor. Our inpatient unit provides services for an average of more than 700 patients per year, and our outpatient area provides services for approximately 875 patients per year.
Our Services Include:
We provide inpatient care for patients sent from Emergency Department, Surgical Services, Medical Services and Direct Admissions requiring various levels of care and intervention.
We offer a supportive cardiology outpatient service utilizing event monitoring and stress testing.
Open Doors Mural Gallery:
In the Spring of 2006, the Open Doors Program received a letter from the wife of a former ICU patient, suggesting that the students paint a mural on the blank brick wall outside of the ICU windows. Click here to view the students in action in our Open Doors Mural Gallery.
