Activities to Keep Children Entertained
 | Junior Partners:
The Junior Partners Program at Demonstration Hospital offers young people who are 12 to 18 years of age an experience in hospital life. You can choose to volunteer and/or attend our monthly Health Careers Club.
Junior Partners choosing to learn more about hospital life by volunteering need to be age 14 to 18. Volunteer activities can include escorting patients, working at the information desk, working in rehabilitation, and assisting the nursing staff on Med/Surg, Telemetry, and Pediatrics. Junior Partners will find volunteering at Demonstration Hospital to be a unique and satisfying experience.
The Junior Partners Health Career Club is open for young people between the ages of 12 to 18. The club meets monthly and provides education on health care subjects and careers. Check the calendar of events for meeting dates and program topics.

Baby-Sitting Course
March 20, 21, 22, 2000 from 5:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.
August 7, 8, 10, 2000 from 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
October 30, November 1, and 8, 2000 from 5:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.
Cost $35.00
Learn how to give personal care to children. Learn tips on being safe as a baby-sitter and keeping children safe. Dietitian will share health food tips. Includes American Heart Association CPR course. For ages 12 and up. Call (555) 555-1345 to register.
Teddy Bear Clinic
A program to teach children what happens if they need emergency care at the hospital. Call (555) 555-5424 for reservations.
Safe and Healthy Kids’ Day
Learn to be healthy and safe through interactive fun activities. Lots of safety tips and information shared. Date to be announced. |
