Dust off your tuxedoes and turquoise, shine up your Luccheses and get ready for a boot scootin’ night of cowboy extravaganza. Brazosport Health Foundation announces multi-platinum recording artist Clay Walker as the headline entertainer at the 2012 Bluebonnet Social Club.
Clay Walker has sold over 11 million albums, has 4 RIAA Platinum Albums, 2 Certified Gold Albums and 11 number one singles. Born in Beaumont, Texas, Walker fell in love with country music at an early age. Like others, he made a name for himself on the competitive Texas honky tonk circuit before graduating to success on a national level. His greatest hits are What’s It to You, Live Until I Die, Hypnotize The Moon, If I Could Make A Living, Ordinary People, Who Needs You Baby and Like We Never Said Goodbye.
As the fundraising division for Brazosport Regional Health System, the Health Foundation biennially chooses an entertainment venue and group to rock out the community with music, fun, food and flair! Each year, the funds raised benefit a special project named by the hospital specifically for the event. This year, the proceeds from the Bluebonnet Social Club will help modernize the emergency room at Brazosport Regional. As a non-profit hospital, Brazosport Regional Emergency Services treats over 30,000 patients annually. The renovation will help alleviate emergency room overcrowding to better serve the Brazosport Community.
The signature sponsor for the 2012 Bluebonnet Social Club is BASF. “BASF and Brazosport Health Foundation have a long-standing partnership, which we are proud to continue to support. It’s truly a win-win-win: we support the foundation, which in turns supports the hospital and its ancillary services, and that in turn supports our community – and that benefits us all,” said Chris Witte, Honorary Event Chair and Sr. Vice President and General Manager at BASF Freeport.” As the signature sponsor for a wonderful event such as this, if we can help further build awareness about the Foundation and the hospital and its quality of service, then that’s icing on the cake.”
This year’s Bluebonnet Social Club will be Friday, April 20 at the Dow Academic Building. For sponsorship or ticket information, please visit www.Brazosport-Health-Foundation.org or call the Foundation office at 979-297-6190.
